Jaipur

It took us about four hours to go from Ramthambore to Jaipur.

Jaipur is called the Pink City because the capital was painted pink when Prince Albert visited in the mid 1880's and the name stuck. It is now a law that the buildings in the Old City must still be painted pink .

Monkey Temple

The monkey temple is dedicated to the monkey. There are hundreds of monkeys that live at the temple. At night they all gather in a monkey house where they will be safe from the leopards that wander around the woods at night. Our guide for this tour was the monkey priest. He takes care of the  monkeys.

The monkeys would jump on your shoulder to get pieces of candy that you held. This one missed the shoulder.

These ceiling painting were over 500 years old and we're still colorful.
